Our Commitment and Vigilance to Cable Restoration
Since 1997, SBSS have been selected as one of the ship operators to perform repair and maintenance services for the Yokohama Zone Maintenance Agreement.
In 2010, this represents the scope of over 90,000km of telecom cables covering the middle and north Asian region. The cables ranges from 3m buried cables along the Chinese coast to cables laid as deep as 6000m down into the Japanese Pacific waters.
SBSS employs a dedicated maintenance operation team to undertake this responsibility and our capable fleet cable ships, equipped with state of the art subsea equipment are task to monitor and respond to any cable faults 24hours a day, seven days a week.
Our Wujing Depot is also strategically placed to support this critical role and provides an effective hub for secured storage and logistic support for maintenance operations for the Yokohama Zone.
