BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

An opportunity to join our successful Greater China Business Unit (GCBU). Full time, staffed positions immediately available.

The SBSS GCBU team is focused on offshore engineering business opportunities within China. The team also reviews International business opportunities that have significant Chinese content. We had a fantastic 2021 delivering cable installation services to the Chinese Offshore Renewables industry. We wish to grow the team and expand our activities.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for exceptional candidates who have knowledge of the maritime industry in China, specifically the Chinese Renewables industry. Candidates with Offshore Engineering experience, recognized qualifications in Offshore Project Management or Chinese Offshore Commercial matters should enquire.

Typically you will be familiar with cable installation barges, export / inter-array submarine cables, shore end landings and beach civil works. You will be familiar with bidding documentation such as Proposals, Cost Sheets and Risk Assessment. You will also be familiar with Project documentation such as Quality Plans, Method Statements, Cost Reports, Project Status Reports and Risk Logs.

You will be willing to travel within China at short notice to meet with customers and supporting with bids as well as live projects. You will be fluent in Chinese and have a good understanding of the English language.

You will have good interpersonal skills as you will have extensive interaction with colleagues on a daily basis.
