On July 3rd, the SBSS team gathered to celebrate the remarkable tenure of our Chief Operating Officer, Capt. Simon Hibberd, as he prepares to transition into his new role as Chief Executive Officer of Global Marine Group.

Since welcoming Simon as Managing Director to our Shanghai headquarters in the spring of 2018, SBSS has grown, adapted, and achieved remarkable milestones under his operational guidance. From navigating complex subsea telecommunication and power cable projects to fostering a resilient, world-class offshore team, Simon’s impact is deeply woven into our company culture and operational excellence.

On behalf of the entire team, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Simon for his unwavering support, leadership, and camaraderie. While we will greatly miss his presence in Shanghai, we are incredibly excited to see where his next chapter takes him.
